Observation of practical skills and a multiple choice question paper.. Yes you can fail, for practical assessments you need to be capable of floor based work eg CPR, Recovery Position and bandaging. For the exam paper you do need reading ability (Level 1). Any one not achieving would be given support and direction to see if they can re-sit the failed assessment.
