This course provides those undertaking the course the ability to have a conversation in a non judgemental way, moreover be able to recognise the signs and common symptoms of mental health and be able to support anyone afflicted towards the right mental health care support. Candidates will achieve a thorough understanding of what affects mental health and environmental factors that might affect a persons wellbeing, as well as hands on learning to identify the triggers and trigger signs that indicate a mental illness, including when to know the time is right to engage, reassure and support a person in distress. All candidates will receive a mental health manual, progressive workbook, and for line managers CPD to assist their ongoing learning.
Who Should Attend?
This course is suitable for all those in the workplace or those that come in contact with others at risk and who want to gain the necessary skills to have assist others in a completely non judgemental way. Candidates will be taught how to recognise the signs and common symptoms of multiple mental health issues and be able to guide a person towards the right support. This 2 day course is aimed at employees in the workplace. It covers subjects that some may find distressing. Topics covered include suicide and self harm. Any candidate that becomes overwhelmed by any subject matter is able to the course at any time. If you are in any doubt over the content matter than it is recommended you do not book this course.
