Who Should Attend?
This course is primarily targeted at people working in the key roles as defined in CDM 2015 and their new responsibilities. It is also suitable for those whose function requires a detailed understanding of these roles and new responsibilities.
Delegate Information Sheet CDM2015 for Contractors and Principal Contractors Course dates: 9 th October 2015 Course times: 08:45 – 16:30 hours Course Location: Plymouth Training Centre (See back for location details) Introduction: The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM2015) are designed to: Improve construction related health and safety management Have the right people for the right job at the right time to manage the risks on site Focus on effective planning and manage the risk - not the paperwork This course gives an overview of CDM2015 whilst focusing on the duties of the Contractors and Principal Contractors. Course Duration: This is a one day workshop style course. Who should attend Any person or organisation who takes the role of Contractor or Principal Contractor is advised to attend. Course Programme: CDM2015 overview Principal Contractor and Contractor duties The Construction Phase Plan Site rules and control Managing other contractors Physical safeguards in construction The production of the Health and Safety File Workshops include: Pre-Construction Information Developing a Construction Phase Plan The Health and Safety File Competence of contractors Certification and Assessments: Delegates will receive an SSG certificate of attendance on completion. Suggested Follow on and Complementary Courses: CITB Training, NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Additional Points Training Centre Opening Hours: Our training centres open for course registration at 8.30am. No Smoking: The property is designated a NO SMOKING ZONE. Dress Code: In order to maintain the smart appearance of the building delegates are asked to wear SMART CASUAL CLOTHING and CLEAN FOOTWEAR. Lunch and refreshments: Lunch and refreshments will be provided daily (Please note: Lunch is not provided for half day courses). If you have any specific dietary requirements, please contact this office on 01752 201 616 and we will make the arrangements for you. Mobile phone answering services: We understand that our delegates are busy people, and are often in demand from both colleagues and clients. Our administration team would be happy to operate a mobile phone answering service to ensure you do not miss any vital calls. Administration facilities: We appreciate our delegates have many demands on their time. We therefore have a range of administration facilities available for your use whilst you are at our training centre. We would be pleased to assist you with any fax, photocopying or typing services you require. Wi-Fi: We are pleased to offer free Wi-Fi at our training centre. Taxi and Accommodation Booking Services: Should you require overnight accommodation whilst attending any of our courses, we would be happy to arrange suitable accommodation located close to our training centre. Similarly if you require transportation to or from the airport or train station we would be delighted to arrange this for you.
