This course is designed to help the individual understand their responsibilities within the workplace and is aimed at persons working with Abrasive Wheels. It is a legal requirement under The Provision and use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER) that all staff who use abrasive wheels receives abrasive wheels training in the safe use of the tools and changing of wheels....
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who is involved in the process of mounting or the using of Abrasive Wheels
Specific Abrasive Wheels (half day) joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Available as an open course at over 50 venues nationwide or as a private / in house course on client premises. Course can be delivered as 2 x 1/2 day sessions for up to 24 persons.

This course can be British Abrasive Federation Accredited or 5 year accreditation by XYZ Training Group Ltd, a company trusted to deliver this course to many of the UK's largest construction groups. Photo ID cards available on request..
Throughout the course there is a constant assessment by the instructor who will ask questions about what he has covered in the course, some may be theoretical or some may be practical. At the end of the course there is a 30 question multiple choice paper to be completed by all delegates. A pass mark of 24/30 is set for all delegates. Once these papers are marked and delegates passed then they will proceed to a 10 minute practical assessment..
Training is conducted either on customers premises or at any of over 50 centres nationwide and is purely a classroom based course, not specific to any particular grinding or cutting machine. Some practical training will be conducted using the customers machines where practicable, or by using our own equipment.
