What Is Confined Space High Risk City & Guilds Training?
To enable the candidate to hold a good understanding of the requirements and procedures to gain entry to High Risk Spaces. To become fully competent with SCBA and Escape BA sets along with the requirements for using Air-line equipment. This includes all the after use and general checking of the apparatus.
Who Should Attend
All persons who are required to work in an environment where it is necessary to enter the space using Self Contained Breathing Apparatus or Air-line equipment. Where entry to the space is non-standard and will require specialise equipment to gain access. This course is also available for accreditation in conjunction with City & Guilds 6150 Confined Space qualification.
- Confined Space Legislation and the classification of the space.Hazards found within Confined Spaces.Safe systems of work to enter High Risk Spaces.Fall Protection systems and methods.Use of Gas monitoring equipment and atmosphere testing.Breathing apparatus set construction.Use of Breathing Apparatus Escape sets.Use of full Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.Use of Breathing Apparatus Air-line equipment.Permit entry control systems.To be able to recognise the classification of the space and implement systems accordingly.To be able to identify all hazards regarding the space.To be able to carry out Risk Assessments prior to entering the space.To understand and use Permit Entry Control systems.Understand how to gas monitor the space prior to entry.To become competent in the use of Breathing Apparatus Escape equipment.To become competent in the use of full Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.To become competent in the use of full Breathing Apparatus Air-line equipment.To undertake full after use and general checks on all the Breathing Apparatus equipment.
Confined Space High Risk City & Guilds training is available at training centres UK wide, and on client premises (as required) provided minimum delegate numbers are achieved. Parking, public transport links and refreshments vary from centre to centre and these will be confirmed to you prior to your enrolment on any course.
There is both a City & Guilds written and practical assessment. This can be failed if the candidate fails to meet the criteria set by the examination. Successful candidates will get a Confined Space High Risk City & Guilds 6150-03 qualification and a REAX site ID Card.
